Please note: There was a technical glitch and this episode, live on November 30, did not make it to the Unity website, iTunes, and Stitcher until December 6th. I’m so saddened by this because it’s an exceptional episode — I actually want to say our best ever. I hope you’ll listen, even if belatedly, and enjoy the conversation as much as I did.
Our first guest is David Benzaquen of Plantbased Solutions, part of the team for an incredible new vegan food product, Tomato Sushi (below right), a fabulous new better-than-ahi stand-in featured now at Fresh and Co. in NYC, and set to go national. In our main guest segment, we’re honored to welcome New York Times bestselling author, W. Bruce Cameron, whose enchanting book, A Dog’s Purpose: A Novel for Humans, has been adapted for the silver screen by Mr. Cameron and his wife, writer and screenwriter, Cathryn Michon. It’s the story of a resilient canine soul who reincarnates several times and makes a difference in many human lives. If you’ve yet to see the trailer for the film starring Dennis Quaid, Josh Gad, and Britt Robertson, here’s your link.
Cameron rose to fame after his book 2002 book, 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, was adapted for a hit TV show. His other titles include The Dogs of Christmas, and A Dog’s Journey.

Check out the episode “Save Dogs & Understand All Animals” featuring Alex Pacheco of 600 Million Dogs (working to end dog overpopulation with safe “birth control food”), ethologist Mark Bekoff, author of Why Dogs Humps and Bees Get Depressed. http://www.unity.fm/episode/MainStreetVegan_032614.
