I’m doing today’s show from the Ayurveda Health Retreat in Alachua, Florida, near Gainesville — a totally heavenly place for healing, rejuvenation, and spiritual connection. They’re usually lacto-vegetarian, but this week, to respect my veganism, all the food is vegan. I feel amazing and am learning so much. The Main Street Vegan blog on April 5 will be about this experience. Check out this incredible place:

We open with a return engagement from one of our favorite YouTube stars, Dustin Harder, The Vegan Roadie, about to head out in a car provided by corporate partner Field Roast and emblazoned with the Vegan Roadie emblem, taking the “v” word on the road to Atlanta, Asheville, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Portland, Vancouver, BC — eleven cities in all — discovering the yummiest vegan fare — and the most interesting vegan foodies — that these municipalities have to offer. You can watch Season One of The Vegan Roadie on YouTube now — — and plan on an exciting Season 2 starting this summer.

Field Roast is also enabling Dustin and his cinematographer to host pop-up barbecues at stadiums, parking lots, and who knows where in various spots across North America. You can find out where the Roadie crew will be stopping — and get out to enjoy to freshly grilled plant meat — by checking out the website:

After the first break, we bring on Miami-based Sexy Fit Vegan” Ella Magers. Shape Magazine named Ella one of the nation’s 50 Hottest Trainers — she’s also an animal-loving vegan (she went vegetarian at seven, vegan at fifteen) who is as kind as she is fit. She shares terrific info about going vegan, getting fit, protein, carbs, juice, and getting those incredible, enviable abs — her new book is, in fact, The Six Weeks To Sexy Abs Meal Plan (the link here is to Amazon).

Ella’s quote of the day: “You can’t outrun your fork.” In other words, exercise is great but it’ll take 100 Burpees to burn 3 Oreos!
