Main Street vegan Podcast, July 12, 2017: MSVR: Raw Delights + Direct Action Everywhere Founder Wayne Hsiung

Please subscribe to the Main Street Vegan podcast on iTunes or listen here from the platform of your choice.

On today’s show we’re joined by Laura-Jane Koers talking about her new book Cook Lively!, and the joys of eating raw. You can find Laura-Jane on her website, Facebook, twitter, IG, and on YouTube too!

Up next, we’re joined by Direct Action Everywhere Founder Wayne Hsiung. [Note from Victoria: I was more moved by what Wayne had to say that I have been in a long, long time. He talked about animals’ legal status and property and after forty years in this moment, I “got that” in a way I don’t think I ever did before. Because I have severe laryngitis and almost no voice, Danielle Legg – @ThisGirlIsVeg online — took over most of the hosting duties and I did more listening than usual. If this had to happen, it couldn’t have been on a better episode than this one. In keeping my mouth shut, I was able to really hear what Wayne had to share. I felt as if I were talking with someone from the Underground Railroad, those who at that time in history defied the legal status of some humans as property. What they did was illegal and disruptive and bad for business and ethically unassailable. After this program, I feel the same about DXE. This is a stunning interview. Please share it with others.]
