Jayney Goddard MSc, FCMA, FRSM is one of the world’s leading experts in the fields of complementary medicine and natural health. She is a broadcaster, author, lecturer and journalist and an acknowledged thought leader in the health care arena.
Initially a ballerina, Jayney “accidentally” joined the circus as an aerial artiste, which required travel to some of the most far-flung and primitive places in the world. During this time, when there was no access to conventional medicines, she witnessed first-hand the phenomenal power of natural, folk medicines and it was this that inspired her to train in a range of complementary medical disciplines.
Jayney is now founder and president of The Complementary Medicine Association (The CMA) and founder and co-chair of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine. She has a Master of Science post-graduate degree from UCLan, England; trained in Mind/Body Medicine at Harvard Medical School, USA, under Dr Herbert Benson (the “father” of Mind/ Body Medicine); and runs an international practice in which she uses a range of natural medicine approaches to help clients reach their fullest health potential. Due to Jayney’s extensive training, she always ensures her recommendations are grounded in robust scientific research – so that both her clients, and readers, know her suggestions are fully proven to work.
Why Jayney is so passionate about natural approaches to wellness and natural antiaging:
Over the last 30 years, Jayney has dedicated her life to working with people suffering from chronic lifestyle-related conditions, as she herself experienced a life-threatening illness that left her wheelchair-bound for ten years. At her lowest point, she was in hospice care, weighing only 5.5 stone (35kg; 77lbs), and not expected to survive. As a result, she aged dramatically from a “biological” perspective, measuring in at 55 when she was, in reality, only 36. However, Jayney knew in her heart that she had the ability to beat the illness via natural methods, and she did! After coming up with all the recommendations that she writes about in her latest book; “Rewind Your Body Clock – The Complete Natural Guide to a Happier, Healthier, Younger You”, Jayney managed not only to get healthy – but also to rewind her own body clock in the process! Now 55, Jayney’s biological clock shows that her body, mind and physical capabilities are a mere 27!
Jayney says, “Mindset is 99 per cent of the battle. If I can do it, you can too! And I’m here to be your guide on this incredible journey.”
On her website she has a section where people can log in and track their own biological age – so that they can see just how well they are progressing on their “Rewind” journey. Join Jayney in her private Facebook group to get peer support on their Rewind adventure and be in contact with her directly to ask questions about any aspect of health, wellness, mindset and of course integrating a whole food plant-based diet.

A shoutout to our sponsor, Complement. Developed by vegan dietitian Dr. Pamela Fergusson, and the NoMeat Athlete, Matt Frazier, Complement enables you to get your vitamin B12, vitamin D3, and the essential Omega 3 fatty acids (DHA & EPA) in a totally vegan form that you just spray into your mouth once a day and know that your already great diet now has the full complement of essential nutrients. Click here for more info and to order. Use the code MAINSTREETVEGAN for a 10% discount.
And now the good folks of Complement have a new product: Complement Plus. While everyone agrees that B12, vitamin D3, and the essential Omega 3 fatty acids are nutrients people eating plant-based diets (and a lot of other people besides) should not overlook, there are some other nutrients that it’s also easy to be short on, even with a well-chosen diet. To tackle this, Fergusson and Frazier joined forces with Joel Kahn, MD, and together developed Complement Plus, a supplement in tablet form that includes all the nutrients in Complement spray, along with zinc, iodine, selenium, and vitamin K2. Essential for blood clotting, healthy bones, and heart health, the only plant-food source of vitamin K2 is natto, an obscure, fermented soy food and one that is definitely an acquired taste (and smell). To get Complement Plus at a discount, simply go to www.alpineorganics.co (where you can order regular Complement, as well), but this time your discount code will be MAINSTREETVEGAN+.
In addition, the good people of Complement (their company is Alpine Organics) have now joined forces with Joel Kahn, MD, to create a new product: Complement Plus. These are all-vegan capsules containing everything you’ll find in Complement spray, as well as some other nutrients that your diet could be shy on: iodine, selenium, zinc, and vitamin K-2, the bone-boosting vitamin whose only vegetarian food source is natto, a fermented soy product with a taste and smell that most people do not find appealing. You can go to the same website — www.alpineorganics.co — for both products, and MAINSTREETVEGAN in the discount box will save you money on your purchase of either.
