Chef AJ creates dazzling dishes that don’t stray from the straight & narrow (no sugar, oil, salt) while Marty’s V-Burger creator Marty Krutolow makes burgers reminiscent of arches of gold.
Chef AJ has been devoted to a plant exclusive diet for over 41 years and is the most recent inductee into the vegan hall of fame. She is the host of the television show Healthy Living with Chef Aj and the author of Unprocessed and the bestselling book The Secrets to Ultimate Weight Loss.
Marty Krutolow was a commercial airline and charter pilot for his first career. As a vegetarian and then vegan he blogged about his meals on Marty’s Flying Vegan Review and realized there was no REAL fast food in the vegan space. After retiring he moved towards his dream of getting good food at the lowest possible cost into the hands of as many people who might not have been previously able to afford it and save as many animals as possible.
After years of pop ups and food festivals, Marty’s V Burger opened as a brick and mortar on East 27th Street and Lexington Avenue in NYC and now Marty can be found working in the store occasionally but he works full time on putting the scalability of opening the next 5000 restaurants into effect.
