Oh my gosh, she’s a cool doctor! And you can believe that if I lived anywhere near Mt. Airy, MD, she would be my personal physician. Well, for those who are in Maryland and those who are attempting to live merrily in other places, this is a terrific interview. Dr. Rao is the coauthor with Dr. Monica Aggarwal of the new book, Body on Fire: How Inflammation Triggers Chronic Illness. I have been hopelessly perplexed about inflammation, where it comes from, what diseases it impacts, and how to get rid of it. I’m a lot smarter now for having spent a delightful hour with this delightful doc, and reading this important book. (And the Body on Fire cookbook is coming, so keep an eye out for that.)
